Faisal Abdulqader, is a self-taught artist from the United Arab Emirates who fell in love with art in his childhood and nurtured his passion for art by reading art-related books, meeting and learning from different artists across the globe as well as visiting international art museums. Faisal’s career in the financial sector for three decades resulted in an unwanted distance from his passion. In 2012 Faisal decided to unleash his talent to the world after his official retirement from the financial sector. Faisal has participated in numerous exhibitions with Government bodies & universities throughout these years. “Memories Art Exhibition” in November 2016 at Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Foundation was a great milestone of success followed by other successful solo exhibitions such as Noor Gallery as part of Noor Bank Wealth private viewing. Faisal is planning for his 2021 Solo Exhibition to showcase his archival and current work.
 
Artists Statement:

"I have discovered that art is my truest passion. It is my refuge, my home, and most importantly, my most effective method of expression. The majority of my paintings reflect the rich culture and heritage of my dear country the United Arab Emirates. I paint realistic depictions of landscapes and portraits of places and individuals that are nowadays but fleeting memories of the past, and to the younger generation mere fragments of imagination. It is my goal to immortalize these old traditions and practices in my art, revive the landscapes and sceneries and images that we rarely see today, refreshing them in our memories and painting them anew in the minds of our youth. I work mainly with oil paint, though I often indulge in watercolors, pencil sketching & Acrylic."
