Sonu Sultania, is an award-winning contemporary artist with almost 10 years of experience and is driven by her passion and emotions. She likes experimenting with several techniques and mediums, but Alcohol Ink is her favorite. Having lived in several countries, Sonu uses travelling as a great opportunity to explore and delve into the cultural influences and origins of the art produced in those various communities, cities, and countries. Sonu also gets her inspirations from her travel-photography and various philosophies which focus on nature, love, community development and personal development through self-discipline and responsibility. Sonu has participated in several art exhibitions across the world and mostly in UAE which includes Ras Al Khaimah Art Festival , Tashkeel, Gallery Arabesque, Atlantis Hotel, DUCTAC, Abu Dhabi Art Hub, Art-Plus, Mercato, Mall of Emirates, Dubai Mall, DIFC, DIAC and many other Hotels and Galleries in the UAE. Sonu has been participating in Fabriano Italy’s International Watercolor Exhibition for the last three years and in World Art Dubai for the last five years.
Sonu was awarded the Noon Artist Award 2019 for her work, Spring in Her Steps. She also won two competitions in 2018; ‘Dubai Through My Eyes’ conducted by World Art Dubai and ‘Cultural Diversity’ held at Antique Museum. Her work has also been featured widely in Elevision Media of "Emerging Artist Award" across 1100 screens all over UAE in 2019. She has also been selected as “Top 10 Emerging Artists” during World Art Dubai 2020. Among her private projects, she has been commissioned custom artworks for many high-profile private clients in UAE and abroad and she also conducts collaborative and private Alcohol Ink workshops time to time. The artist’s work have also been appreciated and featured in leading Print Media and TV Channels in the UAE.
